Matsushima Bay

Patience requested a trip to Sendai for her Birthday so we went back. This time we took the train since it was much faster and convenient. We spent Saturday and Monday at the malls shopping, but on Sunday it was Mother’s day so I wanted to do something I would enjoy. We rode the train out to Matsushima bay and spent the day there. It was a nice relaxing day. We rode the ferry around all the islands then got oysters for lunch…well I got oysters. The girls thought it was disgusting but they were the best oysters I had ever had! They said on the ferry tour it had something to do with the perfect salt content in the water, and my gosh they weren’t lying, sooo yummy! We walked around town and I wanted to go to the museum but no one else was interested so we just explored the 2 islands nearby. Ojima was my favorite. A buddhist priest carved a bunch of caves and statues on the island in the 12th century, it was beautiful.
