Lost Maples

Weekend before last we decided to check out Lost Maples park. It was nothing like the foliage I've seen back home in NY but for Texas it wasn't bad. The only complaint I have is the amount of people there, it was not a quiet nature hike like I would have preferred, more like a race to get far enough away from the big groups that were talking and laughing way to loud. Sometimes my expectations can ruin a situation though, I should have known living near a big city, going to one of the only places around that has fall foliage, that it would have been crowded. It took me a few minutes to just get over it and enjoy it the best I could...even with the kids complaining every other step(they have gotten way too lazy).
