Watercolor to-go

I had some people ask in the past about what I use to paint so I thought I would share with you. The travel set I have can be found on Amazon.  It comes with a water brush which is awesome because you really only need your kit and some paper to paint. For those of you that have never used a water brush, you fill the tube with water and it can be squeezed out to wet your paint, eliminating the need for a cup of water. I had to replace my brush since it was a year old and started getting clogged up (probably just didnt take good care of it) but you can find the brushes at a local arts and crafts store or from Amazon.

A lot of times you cant tell what the colors will look like on paper so I like to make a little reference sheet which I just keep taped to the inside cover.

The most important thing to know about watercolor painting is the paper. You cant just paint on any paper so I bought this travel book on Amazon as well.  It's great because both my paint kit and book are small so I just keep them in my bag. Lately I have been pulling them out during my lunch break to work on some quick doodles. I brightens my day when I can spend even a few minutes painting, taking a break from the computer and phone screen. They are super convenient so I cant come up with excuses not to paint, besides the larger projects I'm working on, it allows me to practice my skills whenever I have a few minutes to spare. These also make great gifts for any creative person in your life. I loved mine so much I bought a couple more for some friends.   Hopefully this makes you want to pick up your own kit and get creative. Let me know if you have any questions!
